Hemp/CBD in modern fields today!

Cannabis is one of the oldest plants that mankind has cultivated since ancient times. It is divided into two basic different types, namely Cannabis Sativa - hemp and Cannabis Indica - Indian hemp. While cannabis Indica is characterized primarily by a relaxing and calming effect, bringing physical and mental relaxation, cannabis Sativa, on the contrary, has an energizing, uplifting effect, causing brain stimulation, encouragement and also hallucinations.

Humanity has been discovering the beauty and usefulness of cannabis with wonder for thousands of years.

Hemp contains a large number of different substances, such as organic acids, phytosteroids, terpenes, carbohydrates and others. It contains substances called cannabinoids and hemp seeds contain up to 35% fatty oil. Cold-pressed hemp oil is particularly rich in essential fatty acids, omega 3 and 6, it also contains linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid and GLA gamma-linolenic acid, which is very rare. Hemp oil is most often used as a carrier oil in the production of CBD drops, or CBD oil. It is a dietary supplement that has gained popularity all over the world. In the article, we will also discuss the effects of CBD and its use in the field of health.

Hemp and ecology

The green plant is very broad-spectrum and finds application not only in the issue of healthy effects on the human body, but also in many other sectors. It is certainly worth mentioning its application in the field of ecology, where it has been proven that the plant can clean the air and soil due to its simple and quick cultivation, especially since it grows faster than trees and can clean the soil from pesticides and heavy metals. Phytotech (a company specializing in phytoremediation) has shown that hemp can also be used to clean metals, pesticides, solvents, explosives, oil and toxins leached from landfills. When scientists from Phytotech began growing industrial hemp around the abandoned Chernobyl nuclear power plant, they found that hemp significantly reduces soil toxicity.

In addition to Chernobyl, Chinese scientists in 2012 discovered that hemp successfully absorbs cadmium from the soil. Cadmium (Cd) is a heavy metal and is one of the main pollutants in soil. The effect of hemp on the environment has proven that hemp can eliminate this pollutant. Cadmium can be very dangerous, and if it enters the food chain, it can eventually lead to severe joint and spine pain. High doses of cadmium are known to cause kidney damage and some types of cancer. Some types of hemp have been studied and recommended for phytoremediation of cadmium to remove this heavy metal from our soil. There are thousands of contaminated sites in the United States alone, so hemp has proven to be an effective way to clean up the industrial monstrosity we see today.

Another significant ecological benefit of growing hemp is the fact that it can be used to produce plastics, paper, and clothing.

Hemp has an irreplaceable role in air and soil purification. Hemp was not used in the detoxification of the Fukushima area (2011 nuclear accident) under the Hemp Control Act, which was imposed on Japan in 1948 by the US occupying powers, hemp can only be grown under a license, which is very limited and difficult to obtain.

Hemp and construction

One of the most innovative uses of hemp fiber today is in construction, due to its high strength, flexibility, thermal and insulating properties. Hemp is used as a substitute for wood in the production of insulation boards and planks or as the main component of ground bricks for exterior and interior walls, replacing conventional bricks. Houses built with hemp bricks and planks are waterproof, durable and insulated, which ensures energy savings and better sound insulation. Such a house can be described as a green building that minimizes its impact on the environment.

Hemp as a building material is an organic product without any additives harmful to human health. Its use avoids materials hazardous to the environment and the resulting waste is easily recyclable.

Hemp products work very well with moisture, are resistant to mold and rot, are not attacked by pests, and have a high durability.

Main benefits of hemp:

  • One hectare of hemp can produce as much fiber as four trees
  • It has the longest, softest and most durable fiber ever known.
  • Hemp fabric is softer, more insulating, more absorbent, cooler and more durable than cotton.
  • Hemp paper is stronger, doesn't yellow with age, and doesn't require acids or chlorine to produce. It can be recycled up to 7 times.

Thermal insulation with hemp to achieve energy efficiency in buildings and reduce heat loss compared to old concrete walls.

Cannabis and fashion

Hemp fibers are also used in the textile and fashion industries, as hemp fabrics are very strong and their production is environmentally friendly. Hemp requires half as much land per ton of finished textile as cotton, and thanks to hemp's dominance, farmers can grow without the need for herbicides. Cotton requires four times more water and a much longer growing season than hemp. It is also worth noting that, according to the World Bank, the textile industry is responsible for more than 20% of global water pollution, second only to agriculture. It takes about 2,700 liters of water and almost half a kilogram of chemicals to produce one T-shirt made from conventional cotton.

Hemp fibers have similar properties to linen, warming in cold weather and cooling on hot days. The high absorbency makes a hemp t-shirt the perfect choice for hot days.

Hemp also finds its application in cooking, for example, hemp oil is used.

CBD hemp and health

Last but not least, hemp is also used in the wellness sector, where wellness stays with hemp treatments are certainly worth mentioning. CBD is also used in the cosmetic sector, whether it is hemp CBD oil used in skin care, or natural cosmetics, where CBD is part of natural skin creams, oil serums, soaps or shampoos.

Nowadays, when people are increasingly turning to natural medicine, various alternative options are attracting great interest. CBD Cannabidiol, a substance obtained from special CBD varieties of cannabis, is undoubtedly one of these options.

However, the use of CBD hemp is accompanied by a number of questions that we will try to clarify here. The most frequent questions are undoubtedly whether CBD is legal and whether it does not eventually cause addiction. Here it is necessary to mention the difference between CBD hemp and marijuana, which is mainly in the THC content, which are psychoactive substances - states. Technical hemp differs from marijuana mainly in the percentage of THC content. Marijuana contains a high concentration of the cannabinoid THC, which affects the central nervous system. CBD hemp varieties contain a minimum level of THC, therefore it does not cause any psychotropic effects. This is therefore completely legal cannabis , which does not cause any addiction, and whose use is completely legitimate in the Czech Republic.

CBD oils or CBD drops are 100% natural, as we have already mentioned. Using CBD oil also does not reduce attention, so people do not have to worry about it when driving, at work, or any other activities that require concentration and attention.

CBD drops as a dietary supplement can help with many health and psychological ailments. The most versatile CBD drops include a 10% extract, which is supplemented with
other cannabinoids, this is the so-called full spectrum. Check out CBD oil 10% in our e-shop.

Another equally common question is what CBD cannabis is used for. Research in recent years suggests that CBD has very significant therapeutic potential in a wide range of health problems, whether in terms of anti-inflammatory effects, analgesic, neurological and psychiatric, and many others.

Effects of CBD on the body

The cannabinoid CBD brings relief from various health problems to many people. CBD can harmonize the nervous system and induce restful sleep, so it can help you if you suffer from sleep disorders or depression, or other psychological problems. A few drops of CBD before bed will help you relax and fall asleep quickly. CBD oil can support the deeper sleep you need. It affects brain cells and can alleviate neurological diseases. CBD Cannabidiol, due to its antioxidant effects, protects cells against harmful effects on the body and against aging. Its analgesic effects are also significant. CBD communicates with the body through the endocannabinoid system, which serves the body as a cell signaling system.

Since CBD has the ability to act on multiple areas at once, it has very high therapeutic potential, achieving very promising results for many health problems, and the effects of CBD are also confirmed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

CBD drops or CBD oils are also very effective for athletes to regenerate and increase sports performance, increase work performance, increase alertness and overall harmonization of the body.

cbd and chemical structure

The chemical structure of the cannabinoid CBD, which, together with other cannabinoids, affects our body through the endocannabinoid system (EC).
A network of EC receptors is found throughout the human body.

Hemp CBD oil vs. drugs

Since most medications have no known interactions with CBD, hemp CBD oil can be combined with conventional treatment. Many patients who are treated with insulin or chemotherapy also use CBD hemp oil. However, the daily dose should be consulted with the attending physician. CBD drops (CBD oil) do not replace medication in any way, they are only a dietary supplement that can help you to better health.

Products with CBD hemp

Hemp CBD oil

CBD in the form of oil is one of the most commonly used products. We have already mentioned the use of CBD drops above. It helps the natural defenses, regeneration of the organism, improves the quality of sleep and has a positive effect on the human organism in general. The application of hemp CBD oil is very simple. Just drop it under the tongue and let it dissolve.

There are 3 basic types of CBD oil on the market:

  • Full spectrum , this is a cbd oil that contains all cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids from hemp. Full spectrum oil represents cbd hemp in all its beauty and especially strength. It also contains trace amounts of THC (maximum 0.3%). Full spectrum CBD oil also contains cannabinoids such as CBN or CBG. If you are interested in more, we offer both CBN oils and CBG oils in our range

  • Broad spectrum , this is a CBD oil that contains all the cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids from cannabis except THC. This oil offers a rich composition of cannabis compounds and can also be a great alternative for someone who is very sensitive to THC.

  • CBD isolate is a CBD oil that contains only the cannabinoid CBD. It is one of the cheapest CBD oils on the market because it lacks other hemp substances that are beneficial to health. The main advantage of CBD isolate is its taste. This hemp oil is suitable for really sensitive individuals who would like to give their health a little boost. Try our strawberry version of CBD oil!

Hemp seeds

These seeds, derived from the Cannabis sativa plant, are an excellent source of nutrients and phytochemicals with health benefits. They contain protein, healthy fats, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants including polyphenols and flavonoids.

CBD hemp capsules

The capsules can harmonize the body's natural processes, thereby helping to strengthen its defenses. They are a great alternative to CBD drops.

CBD hash or hashish

CBD hashish is a product made from compressed hemp resin, containing substances from industrial hemp, and its use in the Czech Republic is therefore also completely legal. CBD hashish is produced in the same way as classic hashish. The difference, however, is in the low THC content, which by law must be below 1%, and on the contrary, in the high CBD content, reaching up to 60% in some products. Hashish is used in various ways, for example through a vaporizer, hashish pipes, so-called dry drinks, or it can be sprinkled into food, etc. If you want to learn a little more about this hemp concentrate, then take a look at our article, where we analyze hashish from head to toe, through and through! On our blog you will find an interesting article on the topic of hashish, history and what the production of hashish or CBD hashish looks like.

CBD flowers

CBD hemp flowers are considered the most valuable part of the plant because they contain the largest amount of active ingredients. Dried hemp CBD flowers are obtained again from certified CBD varieties, whose THC content is less than 1%. They can be used both as food, for example in the form of cookies or capsules, and CBD buds can also be smoked. Another way of using them is to make tea, or CBD flowers can be used for vaporization.

All the information shows that hemp has a really wide range of uses. And you may be wondering if industrial hemp is the same hemp that can be bought under the name CBD flowers or perhaps as a hemp T-shirt. The answer is simple, it is not the same plant. Hemp breeders from the hippie era until recently had only one goal: to grow the strongest marijuana (high THC content) and the rest was industrial hemp (for tea, T-shirts, paper). With the advent of the cannabinoid CBD, breeders began to focus on cultivating CBD varieties. This means that the well-known White Widow or Jack Herer models also have their CBD versions.

From the above it follows that growing CBD hemp is not only beneficial due to its use, but certainly also a profitable business for growers. Switzerland, Italy and Greece are the countries that are most involved in growing hemp. The USA receives billions of dollars from green taxes. According to MJ biz daily, the USA received $ 3.7 billion in taxes from legal hemp in 2021.
